Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a plan where community members become shareholders, pay an upfront fee, and in return get a share of the harvest and/or other products during agreed-upon times of the year. Shareholders are taking some risks by participating in the “adventure of farming” and what is successful that season; shareholders are also getting the benefits of regular connection with a grower and their land and growing/animal practices.
CSAs can include:
